Jim Myers

Coach Jim Myers served as the head coach for the Aggies from 1958-1961. Prior to his time with A&M he was the head coach at Iowa State. Coach Myers also served as athletic director at Texas A&M, while serving as head football coach. Originally from Madison, West Virginia, Myers attended the University of Tennessee. While at Tennessee he played in both the Sugar Bowl and Orange Bowl. After 15 years in the collegiate ranks, Coach Myers, spent 25 years in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys serving as offensive coordinator and assistant head coach under legendary coach Tom Landry. Myers was inducted into “Legends of Aggieland” in 1999.
